Episode 48: Grabby Goose Gets Greedy

Click the link to listen to: Grabby Goose Gets Greedy

Hi All,
Since the kids have been on summer break, we have been busy playing with all our toys. Sometimes our youngest will snatch a toy from her big brother without even thinking about his feelings. We've been working with her on how she needs to ask first before taking something that she wants. It has taken some time, but she is learning to be patient and use her words rather than just react. As you listen to the story, consider the following:
What make a good friend a GOOD friend?

We are pleased to announce a giveaway promotion! We've been given 20 Nature's Clean Choice Baby Blankets to give away to our listeners. These blankets are protected from microbes by Fosshield®. What that means is that the material actually repels microbes keeping the blanket germ free! You can view all of the different ways to enter by using Rafflecopter below. Complete as many as you can to increase your chances to win!
The deadline is 12:00am EST on August 14th EST.

What did you say? A word of the day! In our story
there are many juicy words that are fun to use and say.

commotion: noisy disturbance.
fidget: to move about restlessly, nervously, or impatiently.
keen: animated by or showing strong feeling or desire.
rendezvous: an agreement between two or more persons to meet at a certain time and place.

Try these activities to keep your imagination glowing
after hearing the story.

1. Make a list of all the things that make a good friend.
2. Write a letter or draw a picture for a friend. Send it in the mail.
3. Make a special treat for a friend and then share it together!
4. Go swimming in a lake and count all the critters you see.
5. Review the rules with a trusted adult for how to interact with a stranger.

After listening to the story, can you recall the
details to answer these questions?

1. Who are Grabby's friend's in the story?
2. What kind of animals were Morty, Sam, and Grabby?
3. When did Grabby realize the woman was not her friend?
4. Where did Sam swim along to follow the woman?
5. Why did the woman take Grabby?

We want to send out bright birthday wishes to:

We just got home from a ten day vacation with our family in Massachusetts. The kids had a blast playing on the beach and being in the ocean. They really liked to wade through the waves and stand in the deeper waters. Have you been on a vacation with your family this summer? Share with us in the comments! We'd love to hear about it.

Have you heard our story:

A Tooth's Story: (17:12)
A tooth learns that he will be leaving his home in the mouth from a voice down below the gums.  He must say goodbye to his friends and inform the rest of the teeth about their own impending journey.

This has been a exciting week in our house. Our six-year-old lost his first tooth! The space where his baby tooth resided will be vacant until the adult tooth makes its way through. Have you lost a tooth lately? We'd love to see! Send us a picture of the vacant space in your mouth to or feel free to post it on our Facebook page

As always, we look forward to watching the glow grow brighter with
the many words we can share together.
